Exerpeutic 5000 Magnetic Elliptical Trainer Review

by Sean Clark | Last Updated: July 3, 2019

Continuing their line of best-selling fitness machines for home use, the Exerpeutic 5000 Magnetic elliptical trainer packs a whole lot of features without putting that much of a dent in your wallet. It’s built with a solid 3-piece crank for smooth and steady momentum, while the dual-action handlebars provide a full body exercise.

At the heart of the machine is a 12-workout programmable computer that displays essential workout data, and features the Mobile App Tracking functionality for easy goal-tracking on your mobile device. All these are wrapped up in a revolutionary Double Transmission design so it takes up less space than most elliptical’s in the market.

Main Features

See this Elliptical’s main features we’ve included here. These features can help you to understand that, you are looking for this one or not. So read these features very carefully.

Inspired by Innovation

Inspired by the brand’s long history of home gym innovations, the Exerpeutic 5000 uses a solid 3-piece cranking system that works together with two flywheels and two belts to transform the circular motion into one, smooth elliptical course.

This provides a continuous momentum without the excess bounce. So there’s no stress or pain on your knees and joints even on those long workouts. And while it’s rare for budget-friendly Ellipticals to have a decent stride length, this model offers a nice 18-inch stride which is perfect for anyone under 6-feet tall.

Minimalistic Console

A big chunk of the cost of an elliptical machine usually goes into flashy consoles. However, Exerpeutic Fitness managed to cut down on this model’s price tag by keeping a minimalistic console design. What’s even better is they managed to reduce the cost while still providing all the essentials.

Onboard is a basic start/stop button for simple operation, an LCD display screen that provides clear readings at a glance, and a handy reference guide to the 12 pre-programmed workouts built into the computer.

You may also choose from 8 levels of magnetic resistance for added variety. Essential workout information like time, distance, and calories burned are constantly displayed onscreen so you won’t have to scroll every now and then.

Low Profile Pedals

The Exerpeutic 5000 comes with a pair of dual-action (moving and static) handlebars that combines with your running stride to achieve a total body workout. Now you can train your shoulders, arms, and back, at the same time with your hamstrings, quads, and calves. Another praise-worthy feature of this elliptical trainer is the placement of the foot pedals.

At their lowest point, the pedals are only 6-inches off the ground so it’s fairly easy to get on and off the elliptical. As there’s shorter clearance between the pedals to hold the flywheel, your feet are closer together and works in a more natural running position. This translates to reduced strain on your lower back, hips, and inner thighs as you go.

Mobile app Tracking

The Exerpeutic 5000 is working with Mobile App Tracking system. You can use your Android or iOS devices to track your workouts as you check your email or chat on Facebook. Simply download the app on Google Play Store or Apple Store, sync your Bluetooth, setup your profile, and enjoy a goal-tracking functionality in the convenience of your phone or tablet.

Additional Information

The Exerpeutic 5000 Magnetic Elliptical Trainer measures 55 by 25 by 64 inches (D x W x H). And tips the scales at approximately 84 pounds. It has a maximum user capacity of 270 pounds. So its covered by the manufacturer’s 1-year limited warranty on frame and 90-day on labor.

Last Thoughts on the Exerpeutic 5000 Magnetic Elliptical Trainer

The Exerpeutic 5000 is an ideal mid-range elliptical. And it offers a very smooth and quiet operation. Even though it looks smaller than some ellipticals, it is incredibly sturdy. Even if you are of a larger build you can work out on this machine in confidence.

It is very easy to put together, the instructions that come with it are very clear. And it can be done by one person. The Exerpeutic 5000 Magnetic elliptical trainer is the ideal home workout machine. And offers a lot of quality for the very affordable cost it is being sold at.
